There are movies. And then there are movements.
Kilanko is a movement — and today, I am standing in the middle of it completely overwhelmed with gratitude.
The numbers are in. Kilanko has crossed N33.3 million at the box office. And I am not going to pretend that I am not emotional about this. Because I am. Deeply.
This Number Belongs to You
Before I say anything else, I want to be clear about one thing — this N33.3 million did not happen because of me. It happened because of you.
Every single naira in that figure represents a person who chose to spend their evening with Kilanko. Someone who bought a ticket, found their seat, and gave this story their time and attention. In a world full of distractions, that is the greatest compliment any audience can give a filmmaker and an actor.
You showed up. Over and over again. In Lagos. In Abuja. In Ilorin. In Port Harcourt. Across this beautiful country — you showed up for Kilanko and I will never forget that.
The Vision Behind Kilanko
A film is only as strong as the hands that shape it — and Kilanko was shaped by extraordinarily talented hands.
This project was directed by the incredibly gifted Allwell Ademola — a filmmaker who brought a clarity of vision and a depth of storytelling to every single scene that left me in awe throughout production.
Allwell understood what Kilanko needed to be from day one. The way she commanded the set, the way she drew performances out of every actor, the way she made every frame say something — that is the reason audiences are still talking about this film weeks after its release.
As the producer of Kilanko, I can tell you honestly that walking onto that set every day knowing Allwell was directing gave me a confidence and a freedom to pour everything I had into my performance. When you trust your director completely, it shows on screen. And I believe that trust is visible in every scene of this film.
To Allwell Ademola — thank you for bringing Kilanko to life the way only you could. This milestone belongs to you just as much as it belongs to anyone. 🙏
What This Journey Has Meant to Me
When we were making Kilanko, I poured everything into it as both a performer and a producer. Every scene, every production decision, every quiet moment between the dialogue — I wanted it to feel real. I wanted audiences to sit in that cinema and recognise something of themselves in the story we were telling.
To see N33.3 million on the board tells me that the message landed. That the story connected. That the emotions were real not just for us on set — but for every person who watched it unfold on the big screen.
That feeling is impossible to describe. But I will try — it feels like confirmation. Like the universe saying keep going, what you are doing matters.
Ilorin — You Deserve a Special Mention

I have to take a moment to talk about Ilorin specifically. When I visited Viva Cinema, Shoprite Ilorin as part of the Kilanko cinema tour, the energy in that building stopped me in my tracks. The warmth, the passion, the genuine excitement from every single fan who came out — that was one of the moments I will carry with me for the rest of my career.
Ilorin contributed to this number. And Ilorin deserves to know that. 💙

To My Team
None of this happens without the people who believed in Kilanko before the world did. To Allwell Ademola for her extraordinary direction, to the producers, the crew, my incredible co-stars — everyone who sacrificed sleep, comfort, and time to bring this story to life.
I see you. I appreciate you. This milestone belongs to every single one of us.
The Screens Are Still Running
Kilanko is still showing in cinemas nationwide. If you have not seen it yet — what are you waiting for? 😄
N33.3 million cannot be wrong. Come and see what the conversation is about. Experience it on the big screen the way it was meant to be seen — loud, beautiful, and together.
And if you have already seen it — go again. Bring someone who has not. Because this kind of cinema deserves to be shared.
Thank You. From the Bottom of My Heart.
To every fan, every supporter, every person who shared a post, sent a message, or simply whispered to a friend “you need to go and see Kilanko” — thank you.
To Allwell Ademola — thank you for trusting the vision.
You are the reason I do this. And we are just getting started. 🎬🚀
