Dear family, friends, and supporters,
I want to open my heart and say a big thank you to everyone who has stood by Kilanko: The Invisible Child since its premiere on March 4, 2026.
This film is more than a project — it is the final directorial work of my dear friend and sister, Allwell Ademola. Every frame carries her vision, her passion, and her love for storytelling that touches real lives. Promoting it has been bittersweet, knowing she is no longer here to see the impact she created.
On Mother’s Day (March 15–16), I shared a tribute to Allwell, reflecting on how much she meant to me and how deeply her absence is felt. The response from fans and colleagues has been overwhelming — thank you for the messages, prayers, and shares.
Don’t Miss: Rotimi Salami Appreciates Nollywood Support After Allwell Ademola’s Passing
Cinema turnout has been slower than we hoped in the second weekend (March 13–15), and I’ve been open about that disappointment. The numbers don’t reflect the quality of the story or the love poured into it, but they do remind us how important audience support is.

Kilanko is still showing in cinemas across the country. If you haven’t seen it yet, I humbly ask you to make time this weekend or next. Your ticket helps keep the film alive longer, honors Allwell’s legacy, and spreads a powerful message about belief, medicine, grief, and the strength of African mothers.
To every fan who has watched, shared, tagged friends, or spoken about the film — thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your love keeps us going.
Let’s continue to fill those seats and give Kilanko the life it deserves.
With gratitude always, Rotimi Salami Producer, Kilanko: The Invisible Child.
